Right now that drone’s owner is on Twitter saying “the government destroyed my drone, what are they trying to hide”

The drone operator, if ever found, should be charged with attempted murder. For the pilot and those on the ground who were going to be saved by the plane.

I have no words for how angry I am right now. The audacity.. the selfishness.. it's despicable. To whoever did this: I hope you get caught and put into jail. For years. With no chance for parole.

They do. Drones are aircraft and mostly need to be treated as such, but almost never are.

It also wasn't ours -- borrowed from Canada.

The aircraft are flying low for actual aircraft but I doubt insurance adjusters would ever fly that high, at least in areas with buildings that were no more than a couple stories. And these were bigger planes, not single-engine crop duster. I'd guess impact was well over 100 feet?
