I was curious how these results were achieved and looked up the repo github.com/obsidianmd/p... - First commit 12 days ago - gitignore contains Claude dir and AGENTS md - no technical doc about perf strategies Is it really open source if the prompts that generated a software pkcg are kept secret?

This is Pele, my new rendering library for diagrams and charts, compatible with the latest Mermaid syntax. - 100-500× faster than mermaid.js - 6× smaller bundle - No dependencies - Easy to theme - Responsive to device width - Open source (MIT) Try it at pele.run

I responded on Mastodon before seeing your comment here, see: mastodon.social/@kepano/1174... On the topic of performance a lot of the gains come from what Pele doesn't do. Mermaid has three renderers, 23 dependencies, and a lot of legacy code for backward support.
