Awesome 👏

If we could tie this to the action button it would rock.

you can do that already

Wait, since when!?

You could already assign the action button to a shortcut from the Shortcuts app, which can do things in Obsidian. In Obsidian 1.14 there is a new Quick Capture shortcut that's even faster.

this is the detail that matters most and gets talked about least. once capture is faster than the animation, you stop pre-deciding whether a thought is 'worth' opening the app for. that's the exact moment a vault actually starts filling up.
