Good. All cars should have the control knob at the center console within reach of your hand while resting your arm on the armrest. The touchscreen shit and having to lean forward is a hazard.

Huh. I did degrees in psychology & business in the early 1990s. We studied & passed degree + Masters level exams on ergonomics,human/computer interface, lessons learned from WWII/Korea/Vietnam etc. Tactile & haptic controls are far superior to a screen. We’ve know that for 40+ years.

Thank goodness for Chinese and European regulators. US gov is asleep at the wheel ( or replaced by robotaxi or something)

I like my Kia because it has a small touch screen for the backup camera and music and such, but also has buttons and knobs on the dash and wheel It never occurred to me that when people talked about not liking screens in cars that cars had gone to ALL touch screen. That's a disaster waiting.

I'm getting rid of my BMW iX which is like driving a computer and going old-ish school with a used Cayenne Turbo that has gauges and buttons.

And not using turn signals isn’t limited to Tesla drivers. Neither is not stopping at stop signs or red lights or driving continuously in the passing lanes or speeding. Maybe it’s not the car but the driver?

There's only one car brand that I'm aware of that doesn't have a turn signal stalk. Absolutely horrid company with no regard for public safety.

And stop putting 30 tiny buttons under the screen that are so small they can’t be seen. People get farsighted by age 40. Tens of millions of drivers who can’t see what the damn buttons are for. Test drove a Mazda with so many tiny buttons we couldn’t even see them with reading glasses on

Give me back my 2005 screen. It had buttons, knobs and was pre-iPhone so NO APPS and no need for me to go in the internet to do anything - we didn’t have internet access in our cars. And yeah, it had a 6 CD and cassette player. I was able to use iTunes with a monster cassette

Look up "Slate truck" This is a project that is in pre-production right here in the USA... IT's an "EV" Flex vehicle The basic "Blank slate" is a gray pickup Roll up windows RWD but you can unbolt some things and bolt on others after market Making an SUV or Fastback.

Thank f*ck for that! I hate the ‘iPad stuck to the dashboard with Blutac’ look. It’s is stupid and a major safety hazard. The fact that safety standards people didn’t ban them immediately shows that such official bodies are irrelevant, money wasting, Quangos.

I loved my old LG washer. I moved & had to get a new one. It's all touch screens & stops me from washing the way I like to. It's taken me a while to figure out a workaround. Hate touch screens. The dryer automatically selects a hot dry if I wash on normal. Too hot! Bring back buttons and dials.
