I feel like Andrew Callaghan catches a lot of strays in this video... The concept that Callaghan is getting at here is alienation. Alienation *is* the reason why some of these things like right wing radicalization hit young disaffected alienated people so hard.

I never say "alienation does not contribute to radicalization." I make a point about the specific things andrew says about specific people, and about the stories he produces.

Fair enough I’m just saying Andrew’s point isn’t a *total* non sequitur, cause it kinda sounded like you criticized him bringing it up out of the blue to guests like it wasn’t relevant. But I felt like it was relevant personally

I mean it's a non-sequitur to respond "community is dying and it's hard to make friends" when the person you're talking to didn't say anything that prompted some reflection on the status of community and friendship, right?
