This is expected to happen tomorrow, and we do not expect any downtime when Bluesky PBC does the changeover. Can keep an eye on our notice message at the top of selfhosted.social if anything changes and will send out modmail via email if there is an extended outage.

The popular firehose service at 'bsky.network' is finally going to be upgraded this coming Tuesday. The disruption to PDS operators, firehose consumers, and jetstream users should be minimal, but read the full post for all the details.

out of curiosity for my own PDS, what changes that they make could cause me issues from mine? surely it's just up to them to start caching the records from my PDS again, no?

If I'm not mistaken it is changing the host behind bsky.network to the new one. So everything should work. I believe most troubleshooting will be a reboot of the PDS or request crawl once it is in place and switched over. Using debug.hose.cam will be helpful as well and want to see...
