Since "La Luz de la Edad Media" came out in September, there are now 8 editions of #TheLightAges! I'm fascinated by each publisher's different approach to design – but thrilled by the results in every case. Feel free to judge this book by its covers!

I am impressed by the Dutch title. The choice for "verlicht" [enlightened] rather than "licht" [light] is inspired. We do not really use the Dutch version of "Dark Ages" for the medieval period so the pun with licht/light would not really work.

The Portuguese title translates to "about the Middle Ages - the true age of enlightenment" so they took the comparison to the Enlightenment even further. The two different subtitles for the English versions are interesting. Let me guess, yellow = UK? US titles/covers tend to be more elaborate.
