Curious as to how other sellers are intending to deal with new EU legislation regarding packaging. From August 12, every package sent to another EU country will require a local representative apparently but how will that work for so many individual sellers? @bandcamp.com any help please?

Don't know if you've seen it but there seems to be an update from the EU saying the goal is not to restrict trade, and as such EU states shouldn't punish non-compliance without first engaging with sellers and giving them time to adjust.

So, at heart, a warning to say you won't be fined for now but you need to do this and that at huge expense I imagine to stop this in future

yes, although by many accounts they are re-looking at the plan in October, so I suspect there will be a soft approach until then (at which point, hopefully, provisions for small sellers will be put in place).
