VRChat has been removing any and all content that contains the word "vore" for the past month. And now they've graduated onto banning worlds that so much as have a detailed maw.

Furries and freaking 12yos off the leash who got a Quest for christmas. At this point we need our own place but good luck trying to have good software on an abandoned computing platform. People forgot about VR again cause it was horribly marketed to begin with. Also, not into vore, but I like maws.

About furries? Yeah we are kinda the main thing keeping it alive. And about vore, unsure if I'd say "a good chunk" but it is not a rare kink at all in the fandom. However, if they target vore as a kink, it does mean EVERY other kink is in danger too.

It's common enough that if you spend enough time, you will have at least one close friend being into it. Same for diapers, pool toys, smelly feet, anything. I personally find it a bit weird, eating critters never appealed to me neither as a dragon nor now as a fox :3 (but maws are hot as fuck 300%)

they've recently released their Unity SDK which comes with an auto conversion ive heard for unity packages and such, they might also have C# at this point, I haven't really caught up with it, but im sure if you ask someone who frequents it they could give some light on it.

It'd be a whole new system. The best way I could describe a potential scripting SDK would be that you'd have a lot of event-driven actions and addressing for variables like bone positions and their related IDs. That said, you 'CAN' use the ResoniteLink function to script the Editor and it's objects

Fulltour vore in vr where I can move around and squish the walls and go in and out the backside was my best escape from reality and all The sorry if I sound like I’m attacking anyone I’m not I’m just really fucking emotional all That SHITTY ASS FATAL JUNK

That dragon world was my one bets way my best way to lie to myself and say I am a sturdy little kobold who can survive these harsh conditions because I’m fucking horifed to the point of vivid nightmares of being digested alive

The Metaverse will never happen. VRChat had a good thing going by catering to weebs and furries, but they gotta kick off all the 12yo squeakers and stop putting barriers in OUR way or they will lose everything, because VR is already circling the drain again and we're the only thing propping it up.

I'm lucky I got off with a slap on the wrist. When I was gifted VRC+ I made a basic group for myself with a vorny banner. I later wanted to change it when I saw all of this happening but COULDN'T because I didn't have VRC+ anymore! Last I checked the group remains but they just removed the banner.

You should absolutely appeal this. They won't bring back the world (which is fucked up by the way, the world ID is toast), they will get your your account back and stuff. There needs to be some sort of a pushback here because it's getting ridiculous.

All these corporations shooting themselves in the foot and bending over backwards for a vocal minority of biggots who will shoot them in the face the moment they become a minor inconvenience. And then they wonder why they lose money.

how long does shit like this have to go on before we make our own open source platforms and stop relying on corporate ones? answer: it will never happen. people will just put up with the enshittification like they are doing now with discord age verification.

Can I speak to someone who knows a good deal about world building in resonite? The more I learn about it the more hurdles I discover. For example, resonite only uses unity for rendering; does that mean all my unity C# scripts aren't salvageable? And can I import custom standard surtace HLSL shaders?

Yeah both of those are impossible sadly the the only thing that could be transferred are things like models and textures That's about it sadly although C# scripts can be recreated Depending on complexity but the custom shaders are impossible We might be able to get close with material stacking

Resonite uses it's own custom systems and will even be dropping Unity as a renderer in the near future. Sadly it is still missing some features (we have PBS and some specialty materials, but no custom shaders yet (planed after dropping unity), but a lot of the same effects can be recreated anyways)

Resonite uses Protoflux which is a visual scripting language based on C#. So a lot of the code can be manually converted pretty 1:1, which will take some time. But there is also a bunch of things that are hard to code elsewhere easy here but also some things are missing but planned (collections)

The community is helpful however and there are quite a few vore communities in Resonite you can ask for help. Or you can ask me, while I don't always have the time I'd like but I'm always willing to help with projects like these (read: kink), same name here as discord.

Resonite runs on a completely custom game engine. Unfortunately C# scripting for user content isn't a thing yet, neither are custom shaders. But both are planned for the future (WASM support will allow any programming language that compiles to WASM, and new render engine will allow custom shaders).

But even with that in mind, Resonite is still my favorite choice for building worlds. I'm part of a creation group and we've made a bunch of game worlds on Resonite. The real-time collaborative workflow leaves other game engines in the dust, and helps see past the limitations here and there.

It has a custom graph based visual scripting language called ProtoFlux which is pretty powerful, despite being unfinished, and Resonite has a good amount of shaders out of the box that can let you make some pretty beautiful looking stuff once you've gotten familiar with them.

You know, the way this is written heavily implies that content moderation is being outsourced, and then that outsourced moderation isn't doing a great job. Bet that's relevant. I'd also bet these days that outsourced moderation that's doing a bad job is leaning on AI, but that's a riskier bet.

That, or it's just individuals getting to make serious decisions about taking down content and banning users without review. *s h r u g*
