Are AI agents now 'being an indie dev' on social media as well? This is a new phenomenon for me; I can't say why but I don't think any of these replies human, and they all hail from 'solo dev' accounts whose websites obviously feature AI gen assets and copy.

Other recent semi-popular post got similar replies, seemingly inviting honest engagement, innocent enough, but follow the formula "{x from your post is cool}, {statement or question about your post inviting a reply}" Can't prove they're bots, they're not being harmful necessarily but still. 🤔

They are harmful in the "you will now potentially waste time talking to no one" way. I've fallen for it once. There's a pretty bug account here pretending to be a indiedev journo/hyper who is 100% LLM. Once I realized I was pretty bummed at having wasted the time.

There's that but I'm increasingly becoming self-aware of being overly skeptical and condemning of every post that seems overly friendly. I've been on both ends of that and its not fun. Seems intentional, another wedge. If everyone expressing kindness is a bot, less unity against the ruling class

Oh I'm vary of that too. I haven't called a single one of these out. Cos maybe I'm wrong and they're human. I don't mean kindness though, usually the marker is more so "heres someone constantly trying to start conversations, but doing it in a very corporate sounding LLM speak way".
