So I'm diving head-first into local-first. Is there an option to work with a local SQLite directly and have a sync engine handle the server/peers sync? All the options I've seen so far seem to be wrapping their own data types on top of SQLite.

Not sure if you've looked at PowerSync yet: it does use SQLite types. It syncs JSON data into SQLite and then exposes SQLite views that can be queried like tables. www.powersync.com

I have ended up looking at PowerSync a little bit after I originally posted this. The Drizzle integration pretty much sold me right away so I'm going to give it a try ❤️
