Good. Censorship is evil, regardless of the justification. Its just banks pushing responsibility off the parents who should be watching their kids onto random strangers who are just living their best lives. It should go beyond just calls though to just boycotting them and making new processors.

this article is so reductionist. the effect on the queer community is reduced to a single sentence that says "also some LGBT-themed games are affected" when this whole fight is about fighting against the silence of queer writers and artists. It's not "horny gamer fury" it's human rights.

Furry artists, especially the ones that do NSFW art, have been suffering payment processor censorship for years. So yes, there's furry fury and we're glad that gamers joined the resistance and sorry that we couldn't safeguard the buffer that prevented payment processos coming for you.

Firstly, this is a terrible headline, and the lead in line misrepresents the situation quite a bit honestly. Secondly, why are you using what seems to be a very blatant genAI image?

Sheesh, my bad on the misfired call there then, apologies. I'm still not a fan of the framing here, since it's not just 'adult' games being impacted, but pretty much anything that touches on Queer topics as well as far as I've been informed.

No, it's adult games. Steam was relatively targeted with their removals because they're a large company with a lot of experience, but Itch panic delisted every game with the "adult" tag because they weren't prepared for the legal threat. That tag just includes a lot of LGBT games.

Right, that's why I feel it's a bit of a misrepresentation. It's not just 'adult' games being impacted, because we have things that are in ANY form of LGBTQIA+ space being delisted and affected as a result of this. It's more broad and more troubling than just suggesting it's 'adult' games.

As they should, cause this won’t end at video games. Cause look, are some of these titles in poor taste? Yes. But if a small radical right leaning group can get perfectly fine LGBT games removed, what’s to stop them from limiting our tv shows? Or where we buy our food? Everybody should be pissed.

"Gamer fury". Ah, those good ol' gamers. Just gamers who are upset about some little thing. Totally not a legitimate issue for real people. /sarcasm. I'm aware that Polygon is a "gaming" site but that phrasing is not a good look.

I'm talking about NOVEL novels. There are authors selling--or WERE authors--selling books hand over fist at Itch, and many of them are trans, which is why they were delisted
