That’s the part people are willfully ignoring, it seems. I would HOPE that the majority know that we aren’t “closer to AI sentience” than we were in the 1960s. Nothing whatsoever has changed on that front. LLMs are intentionally designed to say things humanishly. Doesn’t exactly make it magic lol.
