Cannot wait to be excluded from places because 1. I would rather not share my ID with a US company that *totally* is gonna follow GDPR and *totally* will not share my data with third parties 2. I would rather not exclude people that cannot or do not want to get verified Yippieeee

Thoughts? bsky.app/profile/auro...

Yeah I saw, it does help with privacy concerns but not really with my exclusion issues. I am simply afraid that most people will switch to verified instances, blocking some people out.

Yeah, that's certainly true, but everyone else has to go somewhere, no?

I dont really see the perogative to a majority of users going full force into verifying every server, especially with the sizeable amount of underage quest players and such. I could not fathom Black Cat seeing predominantly 18+ instances.

Maybe it is just my perception of parts of the community, I think all that can be done at this point is to wait and see. I just hope the music event scene will not pivot to 18+ fully. Sure IRL that's the case mostly, but that is usually due to alcohol being served and drugs, not NSFW things.

Yeah totally, would not wanna see the music scene become unnecessarily exclusionary unless that's the point of the event.

I've met some really cool teens at VRC music events and it would hurt to see those people being unable to now enjoy the events they have grown to love and made friends in...
