In 2004 I went to an exhibition that had all the movie props, costumes, and miniatures like a full scale cave troll and even Boromir's corpse in a boat. Even had a force perspective camera set up where two people could sit at a bench and one would be giant and one would be tiny. Wish I was a hobbit.

With the insane amount of props they made, extras who were in the film, etc., the films feel like they were 90% NZ 😆

Heck yeah, good choice. Extended doesn't make much difference in the Hobbit movies, but there are some scenes that should not have been cut from the LotR trilogy, IMO.

Oh wow, I so wish I could experience those movies again for the first time. I went to each one like 3 or 4 times in theaters with friends when they first came out. Glad you enjoyed watching! Can't wait for more art about one of my favorite series.

Maddie you got so many replies I don’t know if you’ll see this but Nicole Byer and Lauren Lapkus have a podcast called Newcomers where they watch movies they’ve never seen but are part of the cultural zeitgeist. The LotR episodes are great. podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast/t...
