instead of arguing about whether AI art is art we should put to bed the asinine question of what "counts" as "art" and just all agree that AI art sucks

I studied music at uni and every year began with a debate on the question of "what is music?" I went through SO MANY definitions ("noise with artistic intent!" "art created on the medium of time!") before concluding that the only good answer to "what is music?" is "fuck off and let me practice."

I've been a working artist for almost my entire life (four years of specialized HS, four years of art school, over three decades as a professional) and I would literally rather stab a pencil repeatedly into my thigh than have that conversation.
