After reading it now, I’m very curious if Felix grows enough in 2 years to “pull” Pettitte with him towards election. Next year seems key as Posey is the only big name. 2028 will have Pujols and Yadi (and Cano)

next year will be the first year when HOF ballot players’ career stats need to be asterisked for COVID. Top guys should get a 3-5 WAR boost. For example, Posey’s 45 should be thought of closer to 50 because he opted out of playing in 2020, and then followed with a strong 2021.

Why? He opted out. It’s kinda like being hurt. You didn’t play. Maybe* for someone who actually played the full 60 game season, but not someone who chose not to play. Also, did we add WAR to the players who missed time with the strike shorten ‘94 season?…oh, that’s right, no ever mentioned it
