Being able to pin a feed to my homepage without following everyone on the list is a genuinely useful and awesome feature. Google+ was ahead of its time with circles (IYKYK) but this is the next best thing for curating multiple feeds.

Nope, you’re not. I often have situations when collaborating where I think “google wave would’ve made this much easier”.
