I wonder if there is a technical challenge to allow people to get notifications for thread comments on bsky/linkedin/x/whatever You see an interesting thread and want to follow it, but you can't. Feels bonkers

i use reeder (apple ecosystem) which allows me to flag/favorite a thread across RSS-aware fora - a couple of times a week i revisit the ones i'm really interested in. not perfect, but reasonably workable. all of the above fora are lossy and imho, rarely worth following in real-time anyways.
