I absolutely love how you show browser support for the various features you used. There are so many CSS features I want to make use of but many are still not widely available like grid lanes etc.

Sooo cool. I'm very excited for all this to come to multi select boxes so we can make nice tag selector inputs natively etc. Any idea if this is coming?

Listbox (both single and multi) should be out in latest stable chrome (145) but I think it's a staggered update so not everywhere yet. They're pretty sweet.

Btw Adam if you're running into styling issues using optgroup it's almost definitely a bug. We specifically allowed legend as the first child of optgroup so you could do rich content in it.

I’d like to - improve the viewport edge positioning logic - tighten the option alignment morph - get rid of the white space at the bottom of the picker scrollport - show variants that position over, under etc

That is rad! Excited to use it as browsers catch up with support. Thanks for showing the possibilities of what it can do 🙌

cc @una.im for advice here! picker() is a popover, curious if it can be targetted and closed as such? and sounds like you're already aware of the new showPicker(), not sure what's up with a hidePicker()

::picker() is technically a popover but there is some interaction weirdness (see github.com/whatwg/html/...), which stretches to closePopover(). One way to programmatically close it would be to open (& close) another auto popover to close it (though this is super hacky & we need a better solution)

github.comSelects interplay with popover is sometimes surprising. · Issue #12099 · whatwg/htmlWhat is the issue with the HTML Standard? <!doctype html> <select> <option>One</option> <option>Two</option> <option>Three</option> </select> <select id="s2"> <option>One</option> <option>Two</opti...

Hooray for a realistic demo! The art projects are beautiful, but it's still nice to have an example of what it might look like in the wild

Combo boxes should be possible within the decade. I can't promise date pickers 😂😅. Arguably listbox select in a popover + JS to link it with an input (oversimplifying of course) should be enough to get a nice experience. Obviously making that even more seamless would be great.
