steal our work to create AI models that produce work that sounds like us because they stole it, then feed our work into more models that sometimes flags our work as too similar to the work produced by the models that stole our work in order to produce work that sounds like us.

I hate the entire consumer-facing "A.i." industry so much. Just unrelenting, massive social damage and extraction. A deeply repugnant, immoral, anti-human business.

like the stealing our work is bad, don't get me wrong. I find it annoying. but that's not even the part that enrages me. it's that you stole our work and then used it to create something that literally does nothing but make every aspect of our world sadder and harder and dumber and crueler.
