It's not currently possible to block a feed from including your posts. Attie is just creating feeds that pull posts from Bluesky in general, which is all public currently. I would like to see the ability to opt-out of feeds, which I don't believe they have yet.

It's a big limitation of ATproto right now, everything is opt-out instead of opt-in. It's built to be open by default.

It seems built insecure and untrustworthy by default. That tracks with adding generative text slop in any way that nobody is asking for.

It's a design decision to prevent one company from owning all of your data. That's the trade off. Also Attie isn't generating any fake posts, it's just gathering existing posts from Bluesky.

I don’t believe they have that goal, as they continue to focus on everything not user-oriented, refusing to develop the stuff users ask for, and being hostile to their users. As for Attie: Why, though? Also I don’t want it to “gather my posts”, even if it determines them “interesting”.

Gathering, like a used created custom feed that shows you art, sports, etc related posts. Bluesky has a lot of them already in the Feeds tab.

It's literally the first line of their FAQ (bsky.social/about/faq). I'm always confused when this messaging gets lost. It's been like this from the beginning. Attie just helps users make feeds, there are plenty of user created feeds that show you posts based on a topic. Like art, sports, etc.

Ima explain: the tech industry has made a bulk of the online world a hellscape of bullshit & obfuscation, worsening previously useful tools, as well as having the obvious goal of “FIRE ALL HUMANS” using tech they wrongly call “AI”. As a result, anyone marketing “AI” products gets spit on. Unforced.
