Minutes ago the FCC scrapped the rule that stops one company from owning your local news station and 264 others. Check the networks. Almost nothing. Full breakdown in this morning's post, "You Are Not Confused. You Are Being Managed" mitchthelawyer.substack.com/p/you-are-no...

mitchthelawyer.substack.comYou Are Not Confused. You Are Being Managed. Why the news coverage you get sounds nothing like what voters tell pollsters they want, and what you can do about it before November 3.

Yup. Turn off anything related to Sinclair and Nextstar Media groups. Deny any attention being sought by their Diaper Sniper Armchair Patriots when they try to disseminate The Corpo-christian regime rapture politik bias "news stories".

Local stations should have local owners. Have sensibilities to the local population, and be required to tell the truth. All things missing today. Thank you Ronald Reagan

Requiring the media to tell the truth would violated 1A in two ways: 1) 1A protects lies with the exceptions of defamation, perjury, and fraud 2) Congress shall make no law abridging the freedom of the press

There was a policy called the fairness doctrine which required news organizations, who are granted licenses to broadcast over the public airways, to provide opposing views and to be truthful. Removed by Reagan at about the same time that he granted Rupert Murdock an accelerated citizenship approval

I am well aware of the Fairness Doctrine. I post about it nearly every day. Let's start with the facts about the Fairness Doctrine. It never required truthfulness. It never prohibited lies. To do so would have violated 1A in 2 says - 1st, lies are protected by 1A with the exceptions of defamation,

in my city nbc, fox, cw & one other independent are currently owned by sinclair, cbs will be bought by nexstar leaving the abc affiliate owned by a small company & very vulnerable, it’s also the most ‘liberal’ and more reliable, never ran any ‘crime in LA’ daily segments or accepted 1/6 as tourisrs

I have now moved to a state where I have to pay attention to weather reports, so I’m forced to watch the end of my local news broadcast to catch that sometimes. Otherwise, my boycott of all legacy and cable “news” media in all formats is going over 20 years strong. I refuse to tolerate mindfuck.

The News used to be public service tacked onto, for profit companies. Edward R. Murrow Andy Rooney Walter Cronkite Then it was public service in aid of for profit companies. Keith Morrison Barbara Walters Chris Cuomo Now it's influence Ops, all the time. #MediaFail

That's why I get my news from YouTube: Meidas Touch, BTC, Legal AF, Aaron Parnas, Adam Mockler, The Bullwark,...the list goes on. They tell you what's really happening. If I'm going to watch the news I want the truth.

The thing is, If you cut them back to 25% coverage of the nation, their cronies buy the stations they have to give up. Then the main player sets up a shell company that "Manages" the other stations they don't actually own. But they run them in the same way as if they covered 100% of the country.

Project 2025 is humming right along precisely as planned. They're almost done. And you all need to fully understand they've got a supplemental project already being drafted as we speak. They're not done. The next one will be implemented. Dem voters will remain clueless that it's coming.

“You will obey me while I lead you And eat the garbage that I feed you Until the day that we don't need you Don't go for help, no one will heed you Your mind is totally controlled It has been stuffed into my mold And you will do as you are told Until the rights to you are sold” Frank Zappa

Trump & GOP propaganda machine marches into your living room unopposed & illegally trespassing in your living room Unwelcome & intruding in your private space Placed to force right wing agenda & bias views on your family to subvert fair elections & your democratic freedoms Google Check all news

Legit question here: How can anyone OWN something without a SELLER? My point here is, you can't own all of these stations without someone that's willing to SELL them, right? I may be missing something?

Everyone responding along the lines of ‘so? That’s been slop for decades and I haven’t/don’t watch it bc I get my news on Reddit or online’ are just as ill-informed as those who only watch the Sinclair etc trash. Well-informed relies on good journalism which we cannot replicate on our own.

I'm so tired of hearing young, well youngish people complaining the press isn't fair and unbiased ANYMORE. It makes my blood boil. Look it up, it never was what you'd like to think it was. Nostalgia as propaganda. www.pbs.org/wgbh/america...
