Impossible to overestimate the damage this guy caused. His book was based on a laughably false premise and the movement he inspired led immigration crackdowns and forcible sterilization campaigns. Glad the population got one Ehrlich smaller today.

Climate change is driven by resource consumption, not population. Wealthy countries like the US are the problem (especially wealthy individuals who do shit like fly around in private jets on a whim).

What??? No - It’s both! From your own source, resource consumption rose 3.5x overall, but only 1.7x per capita. That means that it increased 2.1x due to population growth alone.

So the US population doesn't count as "population"? If only there was just *the* problem!
