CALLING ALL CROCHET GEEKS AND GRANNIES Do you want to crochet something that ends up in a mathematical art exhibit in Paris* next summer? Join the project at www.grannylifecrochet.com * We will find out in September if the project makes it into the Paris exhibit

Also: The Granny Life app now has a "Paris" button -- you can press this button to generate and choose from hundreds of motifs that satisfy the requirements of the project :) www.mathgrrl.com/granny-life

Thinking of having a Granny Life crochet-a-long over Zoom or Discord sometime in the next few weeks. If you’re interested let me know here or fill out the contact form at www.grannylifecrochet.com

Three squares now complete, and I hear a fourth is completed and on its way to me already! Please share with your crochet/geek friends; it would be great to have more people sign up 🧶 www.grannylifecrochet.com/home

oops meant to start using hashtag #grannylifecrochet

Have done part of a practice piece, and so glad that I am doing this. Discovered I'm not yet getting the join neat enough. All the rest is going well, and now I can focus on learning to do the join/corner. Also, I picked a square with 148 colour changes! I thought it was pretty. #grannylifecrochet

Happy to get on a Zoom call to discuss the join if you like -- talking with you about it and showing how I do it would help me figure out how to make a better video about that exact part. It's definitely the hardest bit

It may just be that there’s a lot to take in the first time: picking up the carried thread, doing the colour changes and picking up in the other three corners. And translating from US terminology…With all those sorted out, I am confident about learning the join!!
