This is what the Roberts Court did in the NIH grant cancellation cases, and the mass firing (RIF and probationary) cases too: allow the Trump actions to continue as the cases make their way through the courts. It’s a move to stay below the radar while the Court supports the Trump admin. 1/2

Chief Justice Roberts has issued an “administrative” stay In the ballroom case—which effectively allows Trump to keep doing what he’s doing while the full Court decides whether to let him keep working indefinitely while the case moves forward (which it probably will, given this intervention).

In the case of the probationary employee firings, the shadow docket slow-walk from SCOTUS worked. A judge ruled the firings illegal — and yet said too much time had passed and it was too late to return them to their jobs. www.npr.org/2025/09/25/n...

npr.orgA judge ruled their firings were illegal. The government got to do it anywayA judge ruled the firing of thousands of federal employees was illegal. But he stopped short of ordering the government to reinstate them, predicting the Supreme Court would overturn it.

everyone needs to care about how the Roberts Court is actively, but quietly, helping Trump enact his agenda. We are in a separation of powers fight, a fight for constitutional meaning, and a fight with the conservative politicians on the corrupt Court.

The Battle over the Constitution Has Spread to American Science. I'm out in the @theatlantic.com today about the new OMB proposed rule. It's just the longtime agenda of the the Supreme Court. US science and cancer cures now all depend on us picking up a fight with the Roberts Court.

Also this, about even yet *another* topic, Trump’s visa freezes. People can correct me if it’s wrong, but seems likely the district court didn’t issue an injunction while the court was deciding due to worries SCOTUS would intervene and issue a stay. Which wld mean SCOTUS enabled this long delay.

The linchpin of “there are functionally no laws that bind the president” while he destroys the government is John Roberts and his court.

Roberts wants Trump to do this stuff; Project 2025 is a joint project of the conservative legal elite and the MAGA world. They’re an integrated project. As an example, I heard #NIH has new political appointees. I was told: “Heritage Foundation lawyers.” Trump and Proj 2025 are coterminous.

Funny how this same SCOTUS, didn't believe in the "Unitary Executive" theory when Joe Biden was President. It's about Party & Power, not Constitutionality.

Contrary to some MSM stenographer's bloviating prattle, I am absolutely NOT wishing any of the 6 dirty, traitorous, sleazy, hate-filled slimebag pedo-lovers a prolonged, painful, bankruptcy-causing, depressing, unpredictable, slowly-spreading, worrying, contagious malignancy............yet.
