One of the procreate sketches I did while trying to brainstorm how the "reincarnation" of Tweetbot would look like in the form of a phoenix. Wanted the shape of his head to somewhat resemble the "P" in the Phoenix logo. Not looking forward to doing a proper model/rendering in Cinema4D. 😅

I try not to share app icons until later, but I wanted to show where I'm at. The bird needs more refining and I plan to do at least one more flatter style icon. There "should" be 3 style icons to choose from at launch with a few color variations. App icons are not a strength of mine. 😅

Would be great to have a minimalist Phoenix version that look similar to the bluesky butterfly logo too

Could you create a retro version of Phoenix in the exact same style as this Tweetbot Retro one? I really liked this icon, it’s the reason it caught my attention and why I downloaded Tweetbot and become huge fan. It will make me instant download Phoenix! Or have the option to chose old Tweetbot icon!

Yes, exactly, one of the reasons TweetBot stood out so much was because the name and icon was incredibly catchy and memorable. On top of that, it was very user-friendly and only showed content from people you followed, no algorithm pushed posts

still infinitely better than most app icons imo Duolingo's icons frequently crack me up (not that I'm asking for something like that )

Beg to differ, you have designed some of the most iconic iOS app icons. These look fab! Would love to see if you're exploring a head-on option similar to TB/Ivory.
