The new artwork is now live on RubyVideo! 🥳

I think, in general, it looks good. I will tone down a bit, maybe a bit, the yellow and/or the red, as somehow the contrast between them seems very strong visually. Not sure how to express this in design terms :)

I think that’s up to the conference. You could tone it down by adding more white space but then are you losing the flavor of the event?

Thanks for the feedback! In all cases I tried to mimik the design language of the event as closly as possible. In this case it's the branding of RubyKaigi's 2024 edition, checkout their site here: rubykaigi.org/2024/

Ah yes Sorry I replied too quick without explaining too much. I was mostly looking at this area between the navbar and the event. Now that I think more about it - each event might have various color schemes and probably there is no change to the red navbar that will make it look good for all

Fair. Perhaps a neutral title bar (white/black) or an event theme appropriate contrasting color from their palette?

FWIW: I am of the opinion that Ruby sites too often lean on red. 😅

Yes that looks super good and puts on the spot the conference art work

Implemented a version of the white navbar here: github.com/adrienpoly/r...
