Protesters clashed with federal agents for another night outside the Whipple Federal Building, which holds ICE detainees. Agents fired less-lethal munitions and deployed chemical irritants at the crowd. 📷️: Jeff Wheeler

Fun fact time from Canada! Did you know that during the truckers convoys large vehicles such as RVs, farm equipment and semi trucks parked at strategic chokepoints brought infrastructure such as borders, bridges and downtown areas to a screeching halt? This has no legal relevance to current issues.

Your protestors were OUTSIDE agitators trying to impede the lives of locals to promote an anti-public health position. Our protesters are members of the COMMUNITY trying to EXPEL the outside agitators threatening their wellbeing. Your goal was disruption of community. Ours is return to normalcy.

My point was that your "tactic" (disruption of normal city life) is the exact thing we are fighting AGAINST. Why are you citing you previous post about "values can be different but effectiveness is the same" when I just told you this tactic would be the OPPOSITE of "effective" for us?

I don't think your analysis is correct. Normal life is disrupted. This is a tactic that can disrupt those disrupting it. They rely on swarming places, abducting Minnesotans, and getting out before a crowd big enough to stop them can form. Can't do that with clogged streets.

Things aren't going to go back to "normal" while people are being abducted. You need to find a way to stop it. This isn't the only way, but it may be an option to disrupt their current tactics.

I get you're angry, but it sounds like you're arguing that was a justified and reasonable result. These dudes have assault rifles. If you want to be safe, maybe just sit this out and let your neighbors take the heat. Or propose something else.
