i'd be fucking pissed too!!! one of the reasons why war sucks so bad is because there's an unfairness to it- we are all human, why are we making the world a worse place for eachother? why must we pull others down to pull ourselves up? why is the only answer to fight over grievances and power?

ultimately this feels like the type of game that will appeal to the exact crowd that just thinks "gundams are cool" and then they'll get into what gundam actually is and go "oh. Ew. What's with all this fucking politics. Gross. In my mobile suit mecha?" and that makes me sad!

yeah- I think aliens can work if you do something more akin to "we perceive them as aliens and other and it makes us willing to be as brutal as possible" and have the game be more about what we're willing to do to an "other". but i don't think they'd market it like this if it had any depth to it.
