yeah fuck this pos phone. Don't ever get a Samsung A17. I get that it's an entry-level phone, but it costs more per month on contract than the pixel 8 when it was new and that is a vastly superior phone despite it being 3 years older. How the fuck did Samsung think 4GB of RAM would be okay in 2026?

Like, even after tweaking it to optimise it I can't even tab between my 2FA app and another app without it closing the session I am trying to log into. It is intolerable beyond belief. Phones released 4 to 5 years ago outperform it.

If I have a music app playing in the background everything crawls to a halt. It's so slow that swiping up to go to the home screen registers so slowly that it opens Google Lens instead and then that extra process slows it further. It takes about 20s for that to resolve enough I can close it.
