One person getting AI to write quality code when they know how to build what they’re building is doable. Consistently getting AI to do that at scale for a whole bunch of people who don’t know how to build what they want? Totally different problem.

IMO a real problem I'm facing now is trying to get AI to do at scale for a whole bunch of people that know *how* but don't know *what* to build. because now dev effort is "cheap" somehow it means that we don't need a strategy anymore

This rings so true. I’ve been converted to the abilities of agentic coding recently as a lone Front End developer building a single product able to stay focused and guide it. But having dinner with an old colleague last night who is in a larger team and it sounds horrific at that scale.

Yeah...the scalability part is *quite* scary given how hard leadership + boosters are going and how fast psychosis pushes early adopters to maximize LLM output + velocity... I mean we're seeing the impact in real time w/ CVEs this year and also all the.... :gestures broadly: "software"

This is exactly right, and it’s a problem I’ve been running at solving. So much of it is building an effective SDLC around—and*with*—the agents.
