not only are they not good people, this performative courting of nonexistent integrity is a bizarre waste of everybody's time

Booker: "There are really good people in the Senate on both sides of the aisle, and I have these private conversations with my colleagues about what's wrong. But they're afraid or unwilling to say these things publicly. And that is the crisis that we're in. It's a crisis of conviction."

hey what if instead you called them out for being genuinely unethical and terrible people in a creative and hyperbolic ways that leveraged social media virality and the press' obsession with platforming engagement controversy

democrats spent many years as a performative corporatist opposition party so when authoritarianism came all the structural faults revealed themselves, much like trying to overload a badly designed bridge with too many eighteen wheelers

Here's the thing... I 100% believe that they are very cordial to Cory Booker. I 100% believe Markwayne Mullen is nice to Kirsten Gillibrand. Liz Cheney and Kamala probably had a few laughs together. And that's why I'm so angry all the time.

To be fair, Liz Cheney had separated herself manifestly from her party, to the extent she helmed investigations into president Trump. Biden gave the eulogy for Strom Thurmond. I’m not crazy about campaigning with Cheney, (it got her nothing), but her demise was the terrible “centrist” campaign.

Harris was so handcuffed by agreeing to say she would not campaign against or criticize anything Biden did, on the View when asked by Sunny Hostin if she would do anything different from Biden responded ‘no’ and she immediately lost supporters, he was kind of her albatross

I went by the phrase “the worst Democrat is better than the best Republican “ but I honestly cannot believe this anymore. They all suck and our politicians are simply corporate shills in one form or another. If they aren’t when they start, they morph into them in due time. This sucks.

I mean fascism will always be worse than performative hollow corporatism and banal corruption, but it's still not much of a choice
