Thought this would’ve been pretty interesting to look at so here you go: There are ~3636 people (7.97% of all users) registered with a custom domain handle.

What percentage of users configured a domain name vs the default bsky.social?

youtu.beUse a custom domain as username on BlueskySwitch your bluesky handle to a domain you own using DNS TXT verification. The blog announcement is here but it doesn't tell you how to do it https://blueskyweb.xyz/blog/3-6-2023-domain-names-as-handles-in-bluesky 0:00 - bluesky account 0:17 - account settings 0:40 - DNS records 1:48 - Verify account

I know you’re not the bluesky IT department, but how long did it take for your host to propagate the TXT record? It’s been 20 hours since I made the change and still isn’t working. Doesn’t seem like it should take that long.

Cloudflare worked almost instantly. The video I made wasn’t edited I’ve heard godaddy is slow but still should be ready in 30-60 min You can check if the record is there from your terminal dig TXT _atproto.<your domain>

My host is saying 48-72 hours, so I’ll try again later. Thanks again for the help!
