What is a good way to render or compile a svelte component with vite that gets me an output with css like static-adapter regardless of compiler option css "injected" or "external"?

My idea is trying to use svelte like a template engine kinda

Sorry i don't get it...you can still use a svelte config in astro, furthermore css injected can also be set in the component itself. You can also use the `render` method to get the component html which include css in the head if you use css injected.

In astro if I set css injected in svelte config and render in an astro page the styles don't show (while running in dev at least). But I think that is an astro issue. The static adapter works for both injected or external css setting. I was wondering if there was a way to achieve that?

I would open an issue on astro instead of find a hacky way of doing that 😄

That's fair I probably should report anyways. I mean is sveltekit adapter static hacky? 😅

No, but I'm confused: weren't you using astro and wanted to achieve similar results to what adapter static gave you?

No I was wanting to achieve that with a project I have with just svelte and vite, currently using render with component isn't including styles, though I have in that project svelte compilerOptions.css "injected"

The styles are not in the html output tho: you need to look into retval.head

I make an html string and put head in head tag, so from my output if styles were in the head I could see that, but my head is relatively empty

@paolo.ricciuti.me so I realized I'm using deno but it is hard to make a repl with deno to test because I was making a repl for the astro svelte injected too and it actually works in the stackblitz with node. So wonder if it's a deno compat issue?
