Hope they developed fully on Linux or Mac then. Otherwise they’d still be supporting Microsoft. Also why release on windows? Gotta own a copy of windows to play the game. Which supports Microsoft. Lmao.

I dont think you've actually thought this through Releasing on Xbox gives Microsoft 30% of every sale, releasing on Steam gives them 0%

That's not on House House though is it. They've chosen to draw the line at directly profiting Microsoft and it's a little strange to combat that

Unfortunately boycotting Microsoft in every single way is pretty much impossible these days as billions of systems run off their servers/products. By not putting the game on Xbox that is at least some way to send them a message/boycott them.

I’m not combating that. I’m taking issue with their inconsistency. If you make your game playable and developed on the software from the same company you have said you don’t support, it comes across as dishonest.

So doing nothing is a better response? Every decision you take at this level always comes with a degree of compromises. It’s a matter of drawing the line of how much you can sacrifice.

Adding to that: Even if House Houses boycott would be sloppy or incomplete, it's still a symbolic action that's good. Doing something is better than nothing.
