this is very good. thanks for sharing

thank you! i should also give you a background thanks for sharing your own atlanta experience along the way. i deleted a tangent on this but people are weirder about you breaking up with a sports team than getting a divorce

Love this, Jesse. My 9y/o got big into the Mets this summer and so I started rocking a Mets hat. Re: toxic fan bases, I get a very different reception from fellow Mets fans than I get from NY Rangers fans. There’s definitely a toxicity that follows certain teams. It was shocking.

This was really good

"incurable but finally benign" lol, praise be 🙌🏾

I've often felt jealous of my toddler for getting to be a lifelong Nats fan when I had to wait 13 years for them to show up.

tl;dr since i’m not a “teams in bio” person: mets, knicks and liberty, sirens and gary bettman falling into an open sewer, sunderland (and, not mentioned, gotham fc when they get to queens), and against all odds but thanks to bluesky, the philadelphia eagles

I’m 100% pro Gary Bettman falling in an open sewer!

Wait what do you have against the wee-woos???

nothing. sirens; and gary bettman falling into an open sewer
