Is your desk magnetic in the sense it is made of steel or is it a feature?

Desk Magnetic was honestly a pretty underrated album

My desk is wood, I think.

Id still rather deal with that then those Apple mouses with the charger on the bottom.

i just think it's all too much man. give me a desktop, a laser mouse, a regular keyboard, a wooden desk, external monitor, idk.

Could you maybe use something like cardboard underneath to disrupt it instead? Another mousepad seems like a hat on a hat. Does it have to be a second mousepad or is there a more practical fix? I have a SecretLab Magnus Pro but no wireless charging stuff so no direct experience.

Not sure if it would scratch, but maybe an aluminum wire mesh under your charging mouse pad?

But then does that put your wrist at an uncomfortable angle? I wonder if an EMI shielding plate would be thin enough to do the job

Put a sheet magnet under the mousepad, that'll cancel out the desk's field and let your mousepad run interference free. Source: my rear end

A magnetic desk combined with hard drives, monitors, Hall sensors and batteries etc sounds like inviting more trouble.
