Linkedin is always full of people spouting absolute bullshit, but today's blast of people/bots who've never worked in or around games trying to act like experts on this Xbox stuff is especially putrid.

I’m so tired of the meta-commentary around games, especially with business stuff. It’s the same way I feel about sports - just because you like watching football doesn’t mean you’re qualified to have a ready-to-spout opinion about fucking salary caps or assistant defensive coordinators

LinkedIn in general sucks massive ass. It’s just the same CEOs and people jerking them off posting/reposting the same lame ass anecdotes and AI insights over and over. There’s no genuine connection or authenticity there. And if you say anything about it you’re in trouble for breaking the illusion.

Well to be fair.. they hired matthew ball on his bad takes but lots of data so... they could all just be publicly applying for the job to run Xbox...

There are 3 types of people on LinkedIn: 1. the normal people job-searching; 2. The most sociopathic freaks imaginable who talk about how hard it was for them to cut half their workforce today but how excited they are; and 3. the business-astrologist cult whisperer trying to get into the ear of 2.

Let’s see how raising the price of Xbox and cutting multiplatform works for them. The smallest install base and now this will cement the end of Xbox. Sharma was brought in to do a hatchet job and that’s it. None of this makes sense unless the idea is to kill the brand and remove a line item
