Microsoft can't even ship the games that already have solid ideas behind them, what good is an AI tool that just spits out... more ideas? Also they're going to train it on their own games, so they're just going to get more games like... the games they already made?

I wondered why all their samples looked like derivative Overwatch before I got to the bit of their intro article explaining they're all based on training from Bleeding Edge, an Overwatch derivative. Good work squad we can now make infinite Bleeding Edges.

Spending 100 billion dollars and burning down Montana to fuel a machine that runs hotter than the surface of the sun so it can print out on a tiny strip of heat paper reading, "Halo Killer".

I mean the Xbox community lost their shit over Santa Monica reusing the same get on a boat animation in GoW:R as they did in GoW 2018 lol. I guess they’ve never played Gears lol. I know why MS is doing this, they’ve never cared about quality, they want cheap, release now, fix later & lots of them

[takes huge bong rip] the moon is made of cheese we are going to make a galactic cherry pie using it …. like, IT DONT WORK LIKE THAT IT CAN NEVER WORK EVERYONE PROMOTING IT IS A FRAUD

Yeah if I'm reading it correctly, which I may not be, it seems like they feed the program video and controller input and the program creates a sort of playable video? And they feed it millions of video/controller input samples so that it understands how the game works?

so like the “ai minecraft” stuff where if you look at orange blocks, they turn into lava and suddenly you’re in the nether? why would anyone want that, especially over like, MAME or bsnes or the other already great tools we have to play older games with an actual gamestate

You'll eat these words when you're happily fighting the Coverart as Mustard Chef in the new Hello game next year. I wonder if Phil intends to use Voodoo Vince as a test subject for this generative AI duplication gambit, given he's already a poorly stitched together mess.

"Hey, got this killer idea from the the computer, it said we should make a game about a guy and he has a gun? Maybe multiple guns or a sword, I don't know, some of the footage is a little mangled around the hands."

“Hey guys! We used our idea machine to come up with a new game idea! Alright get this: Halo 7. Pretty good, huh? We used the annual power usage of a small country to come up with it.”

It wants the human to have six fingers and anything else that is a specific number should also be the incorrect number. Give the poison ivy 4 leaves. 55 stars on the flag…
