Kind of a buried lede in the results of this Supreme Court approval rating poll from Marquette: Overall support for Supreme Court expansion, which even Democratic politicians were dismissing as "radical" just a few years ago, is now at 53 percent today.marquette.edu/2026/09/marq...

Term limits and an ethics code are as popular as ever, but Supreme Court expansion at 68 percent among Democrats and 56 percent *among independents*?? The first candidates to figure out that "I will vote to add at least four seats on day one" is a winning message are gonna absolutely clean up.

They won’t say it, but I feel like candidates that talk about Citizen’s United, that’s what they’re signaling they’re open to without appearing radical (see Hamilton, candidate D-KS)

They should have done this in the last term but they were too chicken & now we are fucked. Team Red likely wouldn't hesitate to add more to stack their deck. Team Red pushed through multiple people. I could see bipartisan support to get more justices. It will further become political volleyball.

What the hell do you reckon this is about? Republicans and Democrats both support this at the same rates, but somehow independents are 10% less likely to support? That seems weird.

They don’t want to admit that they’re Republicans, why are they going to admit that they’re pro corruption? They just favor the status quo, meaning a co-equal, unaccountable branch of government.
