It's a real bummer when I see folks who *clearly* don't like Rust writing (multiple!) articles like "is rust ready for embedded? I tried it and still don't like it, so no". It's fine that people don't use tools they don't like! I just wish we had more people who DO USE Rust writing these articles.

Especially when they pre-decide they don't like tools like cargo, or using dependencies, or using any of the tools we've built to make the ecosystem nice. Yes! If you start from the raw compiler, it will be harder, and will take time to get right! You COULD do that, or, just use all the nice bits!

This is very specifically not any one person: there are 4-5 names of folks I recognize that *regularly* write about Rust, and always come away with the same complaints. They usually have another language they are well known for using. This is in blog posts, columns, and embedded conf talks.

Please do NOT name/harass anyone here: I don't think the negative posts matter - people will always write about things they don't like. IMO, the only way to fix this is to have folks who ARE using Rust full time to write more, and more useful, articles and conf talks. Share them in wider spaces.

The ying and yang of Rust obsession :P We do write a lot of blogs, but there's only so many times you can write a blog post about embedded Rust being great in general and stay sane. That said, our last embedded blog was from Januari, so it's time for something again

In this specific case, demoing projects built with embedded rust (e.g. in the mediums you suggest) helps. If you demo a complex/interesting/in-production project, then "is rust ready for embedded" becomes settled!
