Post

I keep coming back to these posts, as they feel emblematic of the rot at the heart of Bun. It’s always been a collection of stealthily forked open source libraries, but AI has really accelerated the copying. It’s very easy to build software when someone else has done the work, yes.

Like, Anthropic gives them infinite tokens to do whatever they want, and what they want is to get credit for other people’s work

I can't wait for the day when all "rewritten in Rust by AI" software becomes unmaintainable by any contributor who doesn't have access to infinite tokens.
