For those who don't really get why creators are making a big deal of the whole Honey drama, 91.8% of my income this year (excluding refunds) has been from affiliate revenue. If Honey worked on the sites I'm affiliated with, I probably would've lost thousands.

I'm in a fortunate enough position where the only thing affected by this income is my content, and not my livelihood (I aim to keep the two financially separate), but many small creators aren't that lucky and have to depend on this income to put food on the table.

Seeing that taken away from people I know, often with Honey contributing literally nothing to the buyer's shopping experience, and often silently, is heartbreaking, and I'm kicking myself for being stupid enough to use Honey for this long.

Frankly, PayPal should know better, and I hope they clean up their act sharpish. Needless to say, I won't be using Honey again, and I've cashed out as much of my "Honey Gold" as I could and will be making a donation to charity matching the value I've accrued over the last few years.

I'm disgusted by everything that's come out, and I hope you are too. I hate having cause to write a post like this, but hey-ho. That's enough negativity for now. I hope to leave this behind and celebrate the onset of the new year this evening. Happy holidays!
