I want to believe this but I’m 100% sure it’s not true. Sony won’t backtrack on this stupid, greedy decision. They know the PS6 will cost over $1k (likely closer to $2k) and they’re already going to lose a big chunk of the player base. They’re recouping revenue on game sales to compensate.

Does not help xbox just said you can take out your disk once you install and still use it later.

I'll happily refuse to buy games from any developer that signs off on killing physical media.

You take away the discs. There’s zero reason to play on PS5. Steam can run all my games. Why would I buy a system that can’t run discs when I already have one?
