Not super surprising to me given that the US' mindset regarding game preservation has been at odds with Japan's for a long time

To be fair, I think Yoko Taro would be kinda delighted if his game was the nexus of "humanity tears itself apart to the point of extinction because the people could finally hear each other clearly"

Wow I looked it up and it's actually that bad. And it's not even just the en posts, I saw a Portuguese one that just said "Japanese gamers" and had a picture for the wikipedia definition of the "Natural Slave".

oh yeah like this is a tension that has existed between jp/overseas fandoms for ages around fan tls/mods/emulation etc but its elon's good good website that took this to the next level and got everyone busting out the world war 2 slurs again
