Fuck, I’m really sorry, I’m not trying to um actually, but Legends Canon….what do you mean by that? Is it a typo or am I missing something?

in 2014 disney blew up the entire expanded universe only to make a new one that is equally as convoluted, inaccessible and disliked in under a third of the time. there are now two universes full of nonsense star wars lore largely made by the same people. another successful disney star wars move

Nothing changed for the EU in 2014. The EU was always non-canon. They just said books, comics, TV shows, and movies going forward would for the first time all be canon.

that is technically true but in practice this means practically there are now two tabs on every wookipedia page of overlapping but contradictorary lore about every single character and concept

Sure, but that always should have been the case. Every time George made a movie or TV show he contradicted something in Legends. The new EU is much less convoluted, imho. There aren’t fifteen-book story arcs. Most novels are standalone.

No. I understand that. It’s the use of the specific word Legends I was questioning. I know what the EU is. But that you.

Sorry, was replying to a different person there.

*thank* you

Ok just to be super clear. My understanding is that all of the other stuff is the EU. Legends is *not* canon. Canon is canon. So what is Legends Canon?
