Had the privilege of being a tester for big walk and I can corroborate that it’s an amazing, special game. A “play together with your friends” game made with tremendous thought and care and authenticity, so well crafted it ruined other co-op games for me. Get a group together, you won’t regret it!

Seeing it put under the “friendslop” umbrella feels tragic because the game has been in the works since long before the genre became trendy. The reason it’s coming out later is because a huge amount of effort went into it. Big walk is doing its own thing… it’s the real deal

The friendslop label is pretty liberally applied. I'd wager that most people using it are painfully unaware of just how bad the REAL friendslop can get.

I don't think friendslop is a pejorative, and I suspect some amount of this trend is a case of parallel invention. But also so excited to get my Big Walk on. 👀🚶
