I was basically hoping for this exact experience so I will be excited to watch it

It is not an adaptation of the games, but I wouldn't dare compare it to an Uwe Boll movie. It's an original character, dealing with the outbreak.

It was a very enjoyable romp.

Me and my partner watched it last night, I have not personally played a Resident Evil and I'm not really a horror movie person, but I really enjoyed it! Thought it was quite funny and gore eventually got cartoony enough for me to be OK with it LOL

Saw it twice. I think it may be the best movie adaptation of a video game so far.

Torn between seeing it and Buddy this weekend. Ended up seeing Buddy, and glad we did. Really fun horror movie that should be getting more attention.

The references are **super** minimal beyond the film taking place in Raccoon City and the Umbrella Corp existing, mostly a few visual refs for items and whatnot. It's an entirely separate continuity and canon, so jump in with both feet!

I saw it weeks back and I've been fiending to rewatch since, the wait for a digital release is killing me especially since I want to see some fun music edits over various scenes. GIF unrelated.

No one does :(

We were also pleasantly surprised! Never played one of the games, but laughed and hid through the whole thing! 🙂
