Unless they change the distro, I think the better move would be to have a list of "Steam verified" distros for desktop use. For the same reasons you wouldn't want a desktop OS on your handheld, you don't want a console OS for your desktop. It having "desktop mode" doesn't make it a "desktop OS".

I mean… fair enough! I’ll get the Valve Fremont instead if it gets released before I have enough money for my gaming build. I’m slowly migrating to Steam fully from consoles so it’ll be better for me personally.
